Just because he plays a hipster on the TV series “Portlandia,” doesn’t mean Fred Armisen lives in a hipster home in real life, right? Wrong.
The actor purchased a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake neighborhood, which has been considered the best hipster neighborhood in the country for several years by Forbes.
The 1,446-square foot home for $763,000 is about as opposite of a “typical celebrity home” as you can get: The price and square footage are both a fraction of, say, a Kardashian-style, multimillion dollar, 10,000+ square foot mansion. According to Zillow, Armisen’s humble bungalow home has been fully renovated and features hip (or hipster) elements such as reclaimed barn wood, farmhouse sink in the kitchen and an unfinished bonus space.
