Disney is a magical place for lots of children.
But, for one San Diego, California, girl, her mom has made the theme park even more magical by turning her into a princess.
Angela Bonser makes elaborate Disney costumes for her daughter, Haylie. When Haylie wears them to Disneyland in California, the park's princesses and characters get excited to see her!
Bonser hasn't always enjoyed sewing. She said her mom decided that she needed to learn how to sew. She bought Bonser a sewing machine for Christmas. And, once she made her first dress, Bonser was hooked.
When her family visited Disneyland, Bonser noticed lots of little children running around in costumes and decided she would make a "Snow White" dress for Haylie. When, the family returned to the park on their next visit, Haylie wore the costume.
“Everywhere we went, people were dying to know where she got that dress,” Bonser said on Flickr. “Most people thought I must have paid hundreds of dollars to have it custom made, or that a grandma had made it!"
Since then, she has made a Cinderella dress, a Rapunzel dress, an Alice dress and a Maleficent dress, among many others.
Bonser follows her daughter around the park, taking photographs of Haylie interacting with many of the Disney characters. “Haylie had so much fun immersing herself in the characters and making so many friends, both characters and park guests," she says. "Watching the joy on my daughters face is a memory I will never forget."
