Scientists have discovered a new type of dinosaur that they are calling the "chicken from hell."
The scientific name for the species unveiled by paleontologists on Wednesday is called Anzu wyliei.
Scientists believe the bird-like dinosaur weighed about 600 pounds and was about 11.5 feet tall.
"You might think this was a really, really weird-looking bird," Matt Lamanna from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History told CNN. "But, in fact, this was a very bird-like dinosaur ...with a really long bony tail, very large hands and really sharp claws."
Lamanna told CNN that another way to describe the dino would be "a 600-pound cross between an ostrich and a velociraptor."
They believe the animal lived in the Dakotas about 66 million years ago, at the end of the dinosaur era.
