We've got a good one to add to your Facebook feed today. This is Mercury, a two-legged cat. It doesn't really need much more explanation than that, but Mercury's story is worth hearing.
According to his Facebook page, a young Mercury was found in some tall grass with both of his front legs severed. His adoptive family assumed he was accidentally hit by a gardening tool, since people were doing yard work nearby. A vet helped close the wounds and remove remaining parts of the legs so they would heal properly, and in the past few months, Mercury has grown into a uniquely adorable little cat friend.
Mercury's many fans have asked a lot of questions about his well-being, and judging by his adoptive family's answers, the world's tiniest T. rex look-alike is happy, healthy and pain-free, despite his rough beginnings. Also, when he stops growing, he may be a candidate for a one-of-a-kind front wheelchair for cats!
