Horton hears a who, alright -- as in WHO did you say is coming out with a new book?
Random House says Dr. Seuss, and we can hardly believe what we're hearing, especially since the legendary writer passed away in 1991. But to our delight, it's true, and we can thank Seuss' widow, Audrey Geisel. She discovered the manuscripts and sketches in a box in their home and decided they deserved to be shared with the world.
The new book will be called "What Pet Should I Get?" and it will be on bookshelves this July. Just like the title sounds, it tells the story of trying to pick out a pet as a child -- a major decision indeed.
If your kids are busy playing with their iPads before bedtime, it might be a good opportunity to take a break from the glowing screens and read this instead, as it's sure to be another longstanding classics. Or you could read them one of these other perennial favorites and pass on the gift of a little bit of magic.
