Mary Kay Letourneau, a Seattle-area elementary school teacher, began a sexual relationship with Vili Fualaau, a then-12-year-old student in 1996. In 1997, she pleaded guilty to child rape charges. One month after she was released, police caught her with Fualaau, which violated her plea agreement. She was sentenced to seven years in prison and served from 1998 to 2004.
Before her first arrest, she was impregnated by Fualaau and gave birth to their daughter Audrey while out on bail. She was impregnated by Fualaau a second time shortly after being released from jail in 1998 and gave birth to daughter Georgia while in prison.
After her release in 2004, since he was over 18, Fualaau asked the court for the no-contact order to be revoked. They married in 2005.
