Rescue workers continue to help people stranded by the floodwaters in Boulder, Colorado, and the surrounding regions. The flooding started last week and continued Monday, engulfing the area in a Katrina-like humanitarian crisis.
Authorities believe as many as 1,000 people are waiting to be evacuated. The continued rain is slowing down first-responders. In some areas, floodwaters have started to recede, revealing extensive damage to many roads in the area.
HLN affiliates and residents continue to share what they're seeing in the area on Twitter.
