Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasarts dropped a big announcement for Star Wars fans at CinemaCon in Las Vegas last week, saying "Episode VII" would be released in summer 2015 -- but there was something even bigger on the slate as well.
Also confirmed was that a new Star Wars film will come out every summer from now on, with standalone stories alternating with new installments in the central franchise. That's the kind of news that could incite a brand new rebellion.
Since the new films were announced, fans have heatedly discussed whether it would be good to see new stories told in the Star Wars universe. We can't say one way or the other, but one thing's for sure: Summer at the movies is about to get much more interesting.
