When you think Victoria's Secret, you likely think of a few things: tan skin, slender legs and long, shiny hair that looks slightly bed-mussed. That's the image the company has cultivated for years, and we're guessing that will continue for years to come.
That's why some folks may be surprised when they see the new Very Sexy campaign featuring 20-year-old model Karlie Kloss, who sports a chin length bob with bangs.
While Victoria's Secret has been supportive of the cut, many fashion fans have not.
"I think Karlie is kind of a modest sexy but I don't think her current librarian hair is really doing her any favors," one reader wrote on Fashin. "She clearly sticks out like a sore thumb next to these more bombshell types."
Kloss told People magazine that she "kind of got in the dog house a little bit" for cutting her hair before the show (the model ended up wearing extensions when she walked the runway), but she's not growing it out. "You can be sexy with short hair," she says.
Others defend the look, saying that men's desire for long hair on women is a reaction to the images we see in the media that tell us what we should think is sexy.
What do you think? Is long hair is necessary for a woman to look and feel feminine?
