One of the biggest nights in music may be more demure this year because the Grammys are issuing a dress code for attendees, according to Deadline. The site reports that the awards show sent out a “wardrobe advisory” via email with specific guidelines about hemlines.
“Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic,” the email says. “Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic.”
The note also asks talent to avoid sheer garments that could expose nipples and make sure genitals are covered sufficiently. It's to ensure “there is no visible ‘puffy’ bare skin exposure.”
The dress code also gives guidance about attire displaying language. All clothing bearing foreign language must be approved, and people must avoid showing brands on T-shirts.
