It's official, the Oscar nominations are in!
While the list comprises most of the usual suspects, including 12 nominations for "Lincoln," 11 for "Life of Pi" and eight each for "Les Miserables" and "Silver Linings Playbook" -- the latter of which was nominated in all major categories; the first time in 31 years that's happened -- there were still a few major surprises.
Daniel Day-Lewis got a Best Actor nom for his performance in "Lincoln," Anne Hathaway snagged a Best Supporting Actress nod for "Les Miserables," and Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence picked up Best Actress noms for their work in "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Silver Linings Playbook," respectively.
Steven Spielberg, as expected, also snagged a Best Director nod for helming "Lincoln," the most-nominated film of the year.
While a sampling of the nominee list is below, check out the gallery above to see which films were big surprises, who was snubbed and which films were left completely out in the cold. The complete list of all 2013 Oscar nominees can be found here.
