Lottery winner Roy Cockrum won a $259.8 million Powerball on June 11, 2014, making him the highest paid winner in Tennessee history. The gracious winner chose to give a part of the winnings to charities, and also said he would devote the majority of the prize to a foundation he is creating to support performing arts organizations around the country.
Since then, the Knoxville man has reported con artists using his identity to trick people into thinking they've won a large sum of money. CNN affiliate WSMV reports that a man named Juan Vasquez came forward for Arizona saying he got an e-mail from Cockrum offering him $3 million.
