Larry Hagman, the veteran actor behind one of TV’s most infamous villains, died Friday at age 81. According to his official website, Hagman died at a Dallas hospital of complications from cancer. He was surrounded by friends and family in his final moments.
Hagman, who starred in the 1960’s sitcom “I Dream of Jeannie” with Barbara Eden, and found even more fame as the hated oil tycoon J.R. Ewing on "Dallas," was in the city shooting the reboot of that series when he passed.
Celebrities from Michael Strahan to William Shatner took to Twitter to mourn his death and praise his life.
