So Hostess has announced it's closing down production and you, in a moment of weakness, snatched up 10 cases of Twinkies. It's OK. we don't blame you! But what, Oh what, to do with all that cream-filled, spongy cake goodness?
You could eat them as is, of course. But why not fancy them up with one of these awesome recipes (see above for the pictures!):
Valentines Twinkies on a Stick -- They're dipped and drizzled with melted candy and dusted with heart-shaped sprinkles. We've never seen Twinkies look so romantic! From Confessions of a Cookbook Queen.
Chocolate Covered Twinkies -- Could a Twinkie be considered a legitimate dessert item? Pretty sure, it could with this recipe! Margo from Joyful Homemaking was inspired by some gift-wrapped Twinkies she saw at a little store in New Hampshire. But why shell out the $5 per Twinkie when you can make them at home yourself?!

Centerpiece Twinkies -- Cookies already look so good on vintage cake stands, why not do the same with Twinkies? Dip them in white chocolate and stud them with your favorite candy first. From Oh, Sugar! Events.

Twinkie Corn Dogs -- Another home run from Oh, Sugar! Events. These Twinkies are decorated with red icing (like ketchup!). Insert a cake pop stick, place them on a hot dog wrapper and you're good to go.
Bunny Twinkies -- Could you eat a Twinkie with a face? These bunnies require some advanced skills: You have to color modeling chocolate, roll it out and cut out the shapes. But look how darn cute they are! From Hungry Happenings.

Back-to-School Bus Twinkies -- "Beep, beep!" and into the tummy they go. White frosting makes the windows and brown frosting helps with the bus details. Use M&Ms for the wheels! From Kitchen Fun with my Three Sons.
Franken Twinkies -- We've showed you Valentines Twinkies, Easter Twinkies and now it's time for a Halloween twist. Jellybeans and colored frosting turn these guys into grumpy little Frankensteins. It's okay, our bellies will take care of that frowny face. From Kitchen Fun with my Three Sons.
Curious George Hat Cakes -- Jill promises these are the easiest things you'll ever make (she whipped them up for her son's Curious George-themed birthday). Cut a Twinkie in half, place it on a mini-shortcake and wrap a fruit roll-up around the bottom of the Twinkie. From Kitchen Fun with my Three Sons.

Chocolate-Covered Pumpkin Twinkies -- If you don't happen to have any Twinkies on hand, well that's OK, too. The next few recipes allow you to recreate them at home! This one from Inside BruCrew Life uses pumpkin and marshmallow fluff. Mmmm, tastes like fall.
Twinkie Cupcakes -- Now you can have your cupcake and eat your Twinkie, too! What you don't see in the picture above is that there's a yummy creamy center in these bad boys. From The Domestic Rebel.
"Healthified" Tiramisu Twinkies -- Kudos to Maria (from Maria's Nutricious and Delicious Journal) for combining "tiramisu" and "healthy." Bonus points for delivering it in Twinkie form! The cake part is made of almond flour and the inner cream is a mascarpone cream with espresso and rum. That's Twinkie amore!
