So, could that money have been spent elsewhere? Let's take a look at the battleground state of Ohio. Obama and the Democrats spent $67.7 million for 2,672,302 votes, which equals $25.33 per vote.
Romney and the Republicans spend $78.7 million for 2,571,539 votes, which equals $30.60 per vote. If you average both, that means roughly $28 was spent for your vote.
