'Xena the Warrior Puppy' gets a second chance

If you're an animal lover, then this puppy's story is really going to tug at your heart. It might make you a little angry, too.

Someone found this sweet girl left for dead in a front yard in Georgia. She's about 4 months old and was cold to the touch and unable to walk.

Nearly a week later, caretakers have helped this dog make a remarkable recovery! She's been named "Xena the Warrior Puppy" and her caretakers tell HLN they're hopeful she will be able to recover completely. Once she does, they're hoping she'll be adopted out soon after.

Police are still looking for the person (or people) who abused this puppy.
