Most teachers use their whiteboards to create math problems or diagram sentences, but Gregory Euclide spends his 25-minute lunch break creating whiteboard masterpieces that are downright amazing.
Euclide, a teacher at River Valley High School in Springfield, Minnesota, told The Daily Mail that he originally came up with the designs as a stress reliever. Now, his creative artwork has developed into a “once a day” project.
While his art serves as entertainment for his students, Euclide also wanted to show them what could be created in just a short period of time. He said his students were upset when he would erase all of his hard work after lunch was over.
“My students were shocked when I would erase the original because they saw it firsthand, and they were disturbed that it was destroyed,” Euclide said.
Using Japanese Sumi ink, whiteboard erasers, paper towels, spray bottles and pretty much anything else he could find around his desk, Euclide showed that he didn’t need much to create a masterpiece.
He now has a portfolio where all of his work is documented. One of his pieces was featured on the 2012 Grammy Award-winning album cover of rock group Bon Iver’s self-titled album.
