Gallery: On-trend at the Daytime Emmys

Haute Pink: Chrishell Stause rocks a bold, yet flattering pink gown, accentuated by enviable green earrings and chunky gold accents. Top it off with a high pony, and her look is summer red carpet perfection.

DEF4

Spark-le of genius: Tiffany Coyne puts a spin on the sparkly dress trend with mixed gunmetal sequins and an edgy matte sheen. This needs to be a nail polish color, STAT.

DEF7

Now THAT's a pattern: Miraculously, Jacqueline MacInnes makes an out-there pattern look edgy AND flattering. The bombshell hair and makeup don't hurt, either.

DEF8

Get in my clutches: "Brass knuckles"-style clutches are big right now, and MacInnes' fanci-fied version is badass and beautiful. See the little skull? Cute! Or creepy, whichever you think.

DEF12

Piping Hot: Susan Lucci and Melissa Claire both rock this year's hottest color -- tangerine. Melissa's unexpected purple piping and Lucci's show-stopping earrings add even more flavor.

DEF11

Mixed Metals: Lindsay Bushman and Kristen Alderson go for the silver with mirrored accents and ruching. With two very different shades, this stunning pair is proof there is a silver that will suit you.

DEF10

Hand candy: Kristen's clutch is a beaded, bedazzled dream. We would love to carry this around, but we'd have to keep wiping our own drool off of it.

The ties that bind: As if the blinding red color wasn't enough, Sharon Case's classic frock gets a great twist -- literally -- from some eye-catching bodice work.

DEF3

Ombre is where the heart is: Elizabeth Hendrickson's soft, subtle ombre hair is a successful take on a tough trend. The relaxed style plays nicely with her blush dress, too.

DEF2

Drop-dead glamor: When it comes to dressing for drama, Judith Chapman is not kidding around. A haute hood, blazing red nails, and big sunglasses? It is the red carpet after all, dear.

DEF9

And... a marmoset (courtesy Jack Hanna): In our opinion, no outfit is complete without a tiny adorable monkey on your shoulder.

Everybody, come see how good they look! Stars at the Daytime Emmys didn't just turn out in style, they turned out in the very latest style, showing off summer trends that are as wearable in real life as they are on the red carpet. Here are the Top 5 trends from this year's Daytime Emmys:

1. Bright, bold colors

If the ladies of daytime can teach you anything, sartorially speaking, it's that you shouldn't be afraid of a little color! Bright pinks, salmons, and reds ruled, and are the perfect solution to a hot summer night. They're also, believe it or not, almost universally flattering, perking up the face and providing a great backdrop for larger-than-life accessories. Hey, if it's good enough for Susan Lucci, it's good enough for us.

2. Serious bling-a-ring

Speaking of larger-than-life, did you check out Jacqueline MacInnes' clutch? Or Chrishell Stause's dressklace (dress + necklace)? Big ol' baubles are never out of style, but the latest incarnations are bigger, badder and more interesting than ever.

3. Daring patterns and textures

Even the most basic dress can go seriously glam with the right texture. This year's frocks were twisted, ruffled, gathered, studded and done up with lace and mesh. You kind of want to just...reach out and touch them! Don't though. They might sic Jack Hanna's alligator on you.

4. Red nails

Nothing adds instant drama to an outfit like a set of bright red talons. Take a cue from Judith Chapman and dress up your tips. Your next trip to the grocery store will be just that more exciting.

5. Sparkles!

Duh. It's an awards show. But as the ladies of "The Talk" showed, sparkles are a the ultimate eye-catcher, whether on the red carpet or on stage. Tiffany Coyne and others showcased a more modern twist, with matte gunmetal textures and mirrored, studded, bedazzled bodices.
