Whether you’re annoyed or overjoyed, you can’t ignore all those relationship status changes on Facebook this time of year.
Truth is, more than one third of engagements happen during the holidays. In a recent survey, the wedding website TheKnot.com found that 39% percent of couples put a ring on it between November and February. December is the most popular month to pop the question.
And for good reason. "It's a pretty time of year," Jake Nyberg told USA Today. He proposed to his girlfriend at Christmas. "You know you're going to be around a lot of family. You're going to be seeing all the people you'd like to see after something like this happens."
