Prosecution: Arias was not a victim of abuse

Jodi Arias is on trial for the 2008 murder of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander. Arias testified she stabbed Alexander multiple times, shot him in the face and slit his throat from ear to ear in self-defense.

After 38 days, the defense rested its case in week 16 of the Arias trial. Prosecutor Juan Martinez called Dr. Janeen DeMarte, a clinical psychologist who diagnosed Arias with Borderline Personality Disorder. The prosecution tried to tear apart the defense's claim and expert opinions claiming Arias suffered from PTSD and abuse. DeMarte refuted the testimonies of two of the defense's expert witnesses.

Big changes may be coming to the Boy Scouts of America. On Friday, the group announced a new proposal that would change its long-standing stance on openly gay members. However, if approved, its ban on openly gay troop leaders will not change.

The proposal, written by the organization's executive committee, will be presented in May at the Boy Scouts' voting members. If it’s approved, the proposal would take effect January 1.

Storage unit searched in Texas slaying case

Police are now searching a Seagoville, Texas storage unit in connection to the deaths of two prosecutors. They’re trying to figure out what led to the killings of District Attorney Mike McLelland, his wife Cynthia and Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse. In a span of two months, all three were found shot dead.

On Saturday, former justice of the peace Eric Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of insufficient bond and one count of making a "terroristic threat." Although it's unclear if his arrest is tied to the deaths of the three individuals, Williams' home had been searched just a day before, in connection to the case. He is currently being held on a $3 million bond-- $1 million for each charge.
