Some Hollywood heavy hitters are joining forces to get people talking about extreme poverty. Stars like Ben Affleck, Hugh Jackman and Sophia Bush are all taking part in a five-day challenge in which they agree to only spend $1.50 a day for food. It may seem like a very small amount, but that's the U.S. equivalent to extreme poverty.

Currently, 1.4 billion people in the world spend less than $1.50 a day on food. The Global Poverty Project's Live Below the Line challenge is to raise money and awareness to the issue.

Motown legend Marvin Gaye is the soulful voice behind R&B hits like "Sexual Healing" and "How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You." However, his life was cut short just one day before his 45th birthday-- when he was shot and killed by his own father.

Since his death in 1984, the events leading up to Gaye's murder have been discussed in books and featured in movies. Most recently, Marvin's sister, Zeola Gaye has teamed up with playwright Angela Dunlap for "My Brother Marvin." Told from Zeola's perspective, the play focuses on some of the untold stories from their parents' memoirs and letters.

TLC star Monte Durham knows a thing or two about formal fashion for women. The “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta" personality is known for his sassy attitude and keen sense of style for brides-to-be. Durham doesn't just know bridal wear, however. He also knows the hottest styles for the younger set, too -- the prom queens!

He stopped by Weekend Express to show us the latest in prom fashion and talk about his initiative to get dresses to girls in need. The stylist is gearing up for the second annual "Say Yes to the Prom" event-- where Durham himself handpicks prom dresses for teens who couldn’t afford them otherwise. The initiative offers up more than 700 dresses and makeovers to help these girls feel and look fabulous.
