With the Daytime Emmy Awards airing this Sunday at 8pm ET/5pm PT on HLN, Showbiz Tonight’s A.J. Hammer just went one-on-one with daytime TV’s big new breakout star, Billy Eichner.

Billy hosts a guerilla-style game show that’s shaking up TV, and he’s up against legend Alex Trebek for best outstanding game show host!  It’s a case of the young, upstart versus the legend, and Billy just told A.J. Hammer that the matchup is blowing his mind! “It’s very, very bizarre. But an honor. You know, Alex is an icon.”

Michael Jackson's famous family has spent almost as much time in court as they have on stage.  And according to a new report, they may be gearing up for another court battle, this time over Michael's 15-year-old daughter, Paris.

TMZ reports, the Jackson family is prepared to fight "tooth and nail" if Paris' mother, Debbie Rowe, moves to take guardianship of the troubled teen. Paris apparently tried to kill herself last week. On Tuesday Showbiz Tonight obtained the emergency call, which confirms Paris "OD’d on 20 Motrin and cut her arm with a kitchen knife."

It was only a year ago that Bobby Flay took home the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Culinary Program for his Food Network show “Barbecue Addiction”!  Can he do it again this year?

Showbiz Tonight was on location at Flay’s Bar Americain in New York City where Flay talked about this year’s Daytime Emmy nomination. “You want to win for everyone involved in the show,” says Flay. “There’s a lot of people involved behind-the-scenes who also deserve credit.”

Scott Thorson stunned the world with his tell-all book, “Behind the Candelabra” revealing Liberace’s secret life and the great extremes Liberace took to keep everything under wraps.  Thorson’s life is the subject of HBO’s much buzzed about Liberace biopic based on Thorson’s own accounts in the book. So, did Scott Thorson truly love Liberace or was it all about the drugs, money and the fame?
