A Michigan mom and two of her adult friends are charged with child abuse after beating her 11-year-old son and posting the video to Facebook. Cops say Demitria Powell violently slapped her young son in the face after verbally accosting him, then allowed the boy’s godmother to beat him more than 50 times with a belt. The 6-minute video quickly went viral, and police are asking the public not to share it.

Police arrested a 16-year-old teen on Tuesday, just one week after the murder of Nathan Trapuzzano. Trapuzzano, a newlywed and expecting father, was fatally shot in the abdomen while on a morning walk.

According to police, the teen, Simeon Adams, who reportedly goes by the nickname “Red,” forced Trapuzzano between two buildings shortly before 6 a.m. and shot him while another suspect acted as a lookout.

Wrestling sensation ‘Ultimate Warrior’ dead

The Ultimate Warrior, one of the biggest stars in WWE history, died unexpectedly Tuesday night. According to reports, 54-year-old James Brian Hellwig, collapsed in front of his Scottsdale, Arizona hotel just before 6 p.m. Tuesday while walking to his car. The wrestler’s death comes just 3 days after being inducted into the WWE hall of fame. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, and the cause of death remains under investigation.

‘Mouthy’ mom’s chilling police interview released

A newly released audio interview shows Julie Schenecker, the mom accused of killing her two children because they were “mouthy,” in the hours after the alleged murder. The audio, recorded on January 28, 2011, reveals that Schenecker thought her children were still alive. Schenecker has since allegedly confessed to the killing and is currently on trial for the murder.

In a South African courtroom Tuesday, Olympic hero Oscar Pistorius emotionally recalled the events leading up to the February 2013 shooting of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in his bathroom.

A Toronto man was sentenced to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of the murder of his neighbor.

The murder of 23-year-old student Qian Liu by Brian Dickson was witnessed via webcam by her former boyfriend in China.
