Possible evidence found in search for Sierra LaMar

Volunteers searching for a missing California teen reportedly found an empty handcuff box and used condoms Thursday, but authorities caution that the discovery could have nothing to do with the case.

Earlier this week, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office announced that Sierra LaMar is now classified as an “involuntary missing person,” indicating that they believe she may have been abducted or kidnapped and could be in danger. She was last seen at her Morgan Hill home early on the morning of March 16 when her mother left for work. LaMar usually walked to a nearby school bus stop, but she never made it there that day.

Richard Kurtz of Roy Mizell and Kurtz Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale said there appeared to be a gunshot wound in Martin’s upper chest area, but he received the body after the autopsy was completed so it was difficult to tell whether he had other injuries.
