Authorities released new figures Wednesday on the cost of the investigation of Caylee Anthony’s 2008 disappearance, while Judge Belvin Perry insisted on a longer “cooling-off period” before he makes the names of the jurors in Casey Anthony’s trial for Caylee’s murder public.
In documents filed Wednesday, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement lists a total cost of around $72,000 for over 2,000 hours of investigative work in connection with the case. The Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation submitted total expenses of over $10,000, with a significant portion of that money going toward electronic surveillance.
