Betty Who Sings

Watch: Betty Who sings 'Somebody Loves You'

I met singer/songwriter Betty Who, who made it big when a marriage proposal video featuring her music went viral, on a rainy October day at Chicago’s House of Blues. She greeted me with this beaming bright smile. She was funny, energetic yet easygoing. The Australian-born singer could easily become someone's best friend in a matter of minutes.

The video above of Betty singing an acoustic version of her song “Somebody Loves You” was shot early in the evening that day. But my crew and I stayed for the concert that same night.  I operated the center camera from the audio booth, while CNN’s Chicago photojournalists David Ruff and Jake Carpenter filmed near the stage.
