Why 'sleeping in' won't boost energy

Why 'sleeping in' won't boost energy

We all have things that we like to do, or eat, that aren't necessarily good for us.  But doctors may be held to a higher standard. HLN's Robin Meade put Dr. Travis Stork from "The Doctors" in the hot seat about his good and not-so-good habits.

Dr. Stork tells Robin that you get energy throughout the day from a good night's sleep, healthy foods and staying active. He tries to go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning. Even when he can sleep in, he still gets up at the same time. "If I sleep in too much, then it just ruins my circadian rhythm," he says, "so I'd rather get up at the same time every day." According to Stork, repeated studies show that sleeping in does not improve your energy.
