Wesley the roaming Labrador's happy homecoming!

Wesley the roaming Labrador's happy homecoming!

A New Jersey family and their beloved dog Wesley reunited Tuesday after almost a year and a half apart. The Cruz family said their Labrador went missing way back in November 2012 after running out of the family yard.  As months passed with no sign of Wesley anywhere, the family said they were heartbroken.

So you can imagine their surprise when they received a phone call on April 1 from police telling them they found Wesley! An officer from the West Windsor police department responded to a report of a dog on the loose in central New Jersey. At the scene, the officer said he found a friendly, large dog who was more than happy to jump into his patrol car and go for a ride.

Photo of hanging dog launches investigation

A Wilmington, North Carolina pet grooming business is under fire tonight after a picture showing what appears to be a dog hanging from a rafter went viral.

HLN affiliate WWAY reports the dog in the picture is alive and well but The New Hanover County Animal Services Unit is now investigating the incident. The owner of the pet grooming business tells WWAY a former employee strung the dog up a few years ago as part of some sort of continuing joke. That employee has since been fired for allegedly stealing.
