The New York Police Department is investigating officers who wrestled a pregnant woman to the ground on September 20 in Brooklyn and pinned her face down in the street on her belly. A witness captured the confrontation on video.

Sandra Amezquita and her attorney, Sanford Rubenstein, held a news conference Wednesday. "If you look at the video and you look at the marks on her abdomen, it appears that an asp...which is a new type of baton, was used on her body by a police officer. On her stomach, a pregnant woman! That is unacceptable," Rubenstein said. He showed reporters photos of what appeared to be bruises on Amezquita's stomach.

A South Carolina state trooper opened fire on an unarmed man during a traffic stop - and it was all caught on tape. 

Sean Groubert pulled over 35-year-old Levar Jones in a gas station parking lot on September 4 because he thought Jones wasn't wearing a seatbelt.  Jones got out of the car and Groubert asked him to get his license.  When Jones reached back into his car, Groubert starting yelling at him to get out of the car, then fired 4 shots at Jones, who was struck once in the hip.

Jesse Matthew, the last person seen with missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham, is now wanted for abduction with intent to defile, according to a press conference held by Charlottesville police Tuesday evening.

Police removed bags of evidence from Matthew's apartment earlier in the day. Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy Longo said investigators found specific clothing they were looking for and sent it to a lab for analysis.

police say 32-year-old Jesse Matthew voluntarily came to the police station Saturday and asked for a lawyer. Police provided him one and after about an hour, he left the  station. “I don't know any more about his interaction with Hannah Graham than I did the moment he walked in,” said Chief Timothy Longo.
