We are now learning new information about Adam Mayes. There were allegations of sexual abuse against Kyliyah Bain when she was 7-years-old.  According to the official report a family member walked in on Mayes shaving Kyliyah’s legs.  The relative also alleged that Mayes had a stash of child pornography in his bedroom. These allegations were never confirmed by police. Mayes claimed his sister made up the allegations.

Jane Velez-Mitchell spoke to Sgt. TJ King of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. Sgt. King was the one who investigated those claims.

*Update 9 p.m. ET -- Fugitive Adam Mayes is dead, and the two girls he was suspected of kidnapping are alive and safe, HLN learned Thursday night. The death was confirmed by FBI spokesman Joel Siskovic. There had been conflicting reports about Mayes since he was found after suffering an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound Thursday night in Union County, Mississippi.

A manhunt is underway for Adam Mayes who is accused of kidnapping and murder.  Mayes allegedly kidnapped Jo Ann Bain and her three daughters and then killed Jo Ann and the oldest girl.
