A deadly battle is being fought in South Africa. Each year nearly 700 rhinos are killed for their valuable horns. These poachers are ruthless, killing more than 100 park rangers who dared to get in their way.

Now there is new hope for the rhinos and you might be surprised to find out who it is: Four U.S. Special forces vets are fighting back against the poachers and fighting to save the rhinos. "Oz" is a green beret and one of the stars of the brand new animal planet series "Battleground: Rhino Wars".  He tells Jane Velez-Mitchell how he got involved in fighting for rhinos and what he saw in South Africa.

Jodi Arias is facing the death penalty for allegedly murdering her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. Arias stabbed him 29 times, shot him in the face and slit his throat from ear to ear.  She claims she killed him out of self-defense. 

Reports claim that Jodi Arias and other inmates only eat 2 meals a day and sometimes those meals are more than 12 hours apart.  A friend of the Arias family says that Jodi Arias is woken up in the middle of the night.  Wednesday Jodi Arias brought the trial to a halt complaining of migraines.  Jane Velez-Mitchell speaks to Sgt. Brandon Jones from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

The defense once again puts the victim, Travis Alexander, on trial. This time the defense expert witness on domestic violence claimed that Jodi was warned by friends of Travis to stay away from him. Does the jury believe her testimony? Is it enough to provide reasonable doubt?

Jodi Arias claims that the entire altercation with Travis took only 62 seconds.  That would mean that she managed to shoot him and stab him 29 times in just about a minute.  Is that possible?  Jane Velez-Mitchell headed to John Jay College of Criminal Justice to ask an expert about the extensive damage Jodi inflicted on Travis's body.  Dr. Warunek demonstrated how Jodi caused injury to nearly every part of Travis's body.  And it seems like it would have been impossible for Jodi to do that much damage so quickly.  Does that mean her entire story is a lie?

Dr. Kevin Horn, the medical examiner who performed Travis Alexander's autopsy, believes that Jodi Arias is lying when she claimed the first wound she inflicted on Travis was the gunshot. Dr. Horn believes that Jodi stabbed Travis in the chest, shoving a knife 3.5 inches deep into his body, just next to his heart, before proceeding to stab him 28 more times and shooting him in the head.
