Julie Christopher, a friend of Travis Alexander, tells Jane Velez-Mitchell that she had dinner with Travis and Jodi Arias just 2 weeks before he was killed. She tells Jane that Jodi was emotionless and was like a zombie and that she got a really bad feeling from her and tried to warn Travis.

Lindsay Lohan’s legal troubles will, once again, be on full display as her lawyer gears up for a pre-trial hearing scheduled for tomorrow.

This latest trip to court stems from a misdemeanor charge of lying to police after Lindsay allegedly crashed on the Pacific Coast Highway in June and told cops she wasn’t driving. That charge, in turn, triggered a probation violation in her jewelry heist case.

Juan Martinez finished his cross-examination of Jodi Arias on Thursday with fireworks. 

He had her describe her version of exactly what happened when she killed Travis Alexander. At one point, he had Arias actually stand up, come out from behind the stand and reenact how she says Travis attacked her.

Congress passes Violence Against Women Act

The Republican-held House passed the renewal of the Violence Against Women Act, sending it to President Obama for his signature on Thursday after months of bipartisan back-and-forth.

The reauthorization is hailed as a landmark decision for providing protection to all victims of sexual and domestic violence including same-sex couples, transgender people, immigrants and Native Americans. The newly-passed bill is aimed at reducing domestic abuse and sexual violence by improving the criminal justice response to offenders, strengthening punishments for repeat offenders and focusing on sexual assault prevention.

Bryan Carr is a friend of Jodi Arias who visits her every weekend in prison. Carr tells Jane Velez-Mitchell that he has talked to Arias about the possible outcomes of her trial, and they do not think Jodi will get the death penalty. 

In fact, Carr tells Jane that Jodi believes there will be a mistrial because the jury will be split.

Day 3 of the cross-examination of Jodi Arias was one of the most sexually charged days we have seen so far. Prosecutor, Juan Martinez, read very explicit text messages between Jodi Arias and Travis Alexander. He also played more of the phone sex calls between Jodi and Travis.  Martinez spent a lot of time trying to establish how willing a participant Jodi Arias was in her sexual relationship with Travis. 

Jane Velez-Mitchell spoke with former Hollywood madam Jody 'Babydol' Gibson who analyzed Jodi and Travis' sexual relationship.

Jodi Arias said on the stand Tuesday that she found inappropriate Myspace messages exchanged between Travis Alexander and his friend Shannon Crabtree Peterson, a married woman, and that Travis and Peterson even planned to meet for a sexual liaison.  

Shannon Crabtree Peterson says those claims are not true and speaks to Jane live to tell her side of the story.
