New documents just released in the Sandy Hook school shooting show that investigators found some pretty disturbing things in the shooter's home, which he shared with his mother.

One of those discoveries was a holiday card containing a check made out to Adam Lanza "for the purchase of a C183 (firearm), authored by (his mother) Nancy Lanza," according to a search warrant.

Accused gunman James Holmes has said he's willing to plead guilty and spend the rest of his life in prison for the mass shooting at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater. But prosecutors have not accepted his offer because they may choose to pursue the death penalty, according to documents filed Wednesday.

Holmes is charged with a total of 166 counts of murder, attempted murder and other charges related to the mass shooting in July 2012 that left 12 people dead and 58 injured.

A grand jury in Brunswick, Georgia, ruled Wednesday that two teens accused of shooting a 13-month-old baby can be charged with murder. But since the suspects are under 18, the district attorney's office says it cannot seek the death penalty against them.

Police used descriptions of the suspects and school attendance records to make their arrest. They took 17-year-old De'Marquise Elkins and an 15-year-old into custody last week. The younger suspect is not being identified because of his age.
