Americans in 35 states have signed a petition on whitehouse.gov asking that their state be allowed to withdraw from the United States (peacefully of course) and start a new government.

If you didn't know the name "Julian Castro" before, then you probably know it by now! He's the mayor of San Antonio, Texas and on Tuesday he became the first Hispanic to deliver the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention.

Some are already comparing him to President Barack Obama (who delivered the keynote at the DNC in 2004): Both were raised by single mothers and both went to Harvard Law School.
