Breastfeeding mom: 'Formula isn't a narcotic'

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's “Latch On, NYC” initiative is encouraging moms to breastfeed instead of giving their newborns baby formula. As part of this campaign, hospitals are being asked to voluntarily store formula under lock-and-key. That means nurses will need to sign it out to any new mom who asks for it, and moms will need to have a reason for asking.

City shuts down teen's hot dog stand!

Nathan Duszynski used the money he saved mowing lawns and shoveling snow to buy a hot dog stand for $1,500 so he could help out his disabled parents.

What the Michigan teen didn't expect was for the city to shut him down just minutes after he set up shop! The city basically told us that food wagons and carts are restricted downtown because businesses there pay taxes and assessments. The city also says Nathan's family was told they would need a permit from the health department in order to serve food.
