Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has been indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge by a Texas grand jury, according to Dallas County court records.
In an incident report, obtained by CNN, Manziel's ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, told authorities she was hanging out with Manziel and friends at a hotel in downtown Dallas, Texas, on January 30. After the group dispersed, Crowley claims Manziel became "aggressive towards her," striking her "several times." She also says in an affidavit that Manziel grabbed her by the hair and hit her, causing her to lose her hearing in one ear.
If convicted, Manziel may go to jail for a year and be forced to pay a $4,000 fine. He intends to plead not guilty.
