Brother of shooting victim: Don’t focus on gunman

At this time last week, the world woke up to news that a gunman in Aurora, CO opened fire in a Colorado movie theater, killing 12 people and wounding dozens of others. It is now among the worst mass shootings in American history.

I was on a plane to Aurora the next day to cover the story and find out about the man accused of this heinous crime. But what I saw was a community that was coming together in a difficult time and supporting each other. I spoke with many of the families who either lost a loved one, or a family member who was injured.

The doctor convicted in the death of Michael Jackson has invited the late pop star's mother to visit him in jail, CNN’s Alan Duke told HLN’s Dr. Drew Thursday night.

“I got a call from Conrad Murray's lawyer tonight,” Duke explained. “Murray [says he] has seen the coverage of Katherine Jackson on television and feels bad for her. He says she looks sad, and so he has sent through me, through his lawyers … a message to Katherine he’s going to put her on the jail visitor’s list.”
