You know him as #HotFelon. Now, 30-year-old Jeremy Meeks is trending again. This time, it’s because the alarmingly handsome bad boy has landed a modeling contract.
HLN confirmed the deal with White Cross Management, a talent agency based in New York and Los Angeles. Agency principal Jim Jordan told ABC News that he’s working to book modeling, reality show and endorsement deals for Meeks, reportedly scheduled for early release in November. For his part, Meeks says he’d like a role in “Sons of Anarchy." Unfortunately, the popular FX series ended in December 2014.
Meeks and three others were arrested in a gang sweep called Operation Ceasefire, implemented by police in Stockton, California. Police protocol in that city includes posting mugshots to the department’s Facebook page — an attempted deterrent to other would-be criminals. Much to their surprise and chagrin, Meeks’ photo went viral. At the time, police spokesman Officer Joe Silva said, “Jeremy Meeks was arrested on felony gun charges and was… part of a very active, violent group.”
But it sounds like Meeks’ taste of fame and possible fortune might have set him straight. He told ABC News that he’s thankful for all the support he’s gotten from friends, family and fans.
As for the captivating glare in that mugshot, Meeks says he was just thinking about missing his family. “I was really thinking about my son… that was the only thing on my mind.”
