Authorities are continuing to investigate the death of a Georgia mother and her three children in what investigators believe to be a triple murder-suicide.
According to the Cobb County Police Department, officers responded to an Austell apartment complex in reference to a "person down" call on Wednesday. When they arrived, the deceased bodies of an adult female and three children were found inside the residence, investigators said in a news release.
Kisha Holmes, 35, is believed to have taken the lives of her children before taking her own, police said. Autopsy results from the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office are still pending.
Authorities said the children were a 9-month-girl, 4-year-old boy, and 10-year-old boy. The reason for the crime is still unclear, detectives said.
