Plain and simple, there's nothing better than reviving stuff from the '80s. It just puts a spring of the "Footloose" variety in our step every single time, you know?
That's why the Freezy Freakies Kickstarter was bound for glory. Not only is it reviving the much-loved color-changing gloves (Hypercolor, you're next!), but it's also making them for adult sizes -- which is, like, the best idea EVER.
There were a zillion to choose from at first, but the Kickstarter is streamlining it down to four. They're working with the gloves' original manufacturer, Swany American Corp., to bring back the Unicorn, Turbo, Ski Alpine and Fighter Jet designs.
It is the fourth crowdfunded project for Buffoonery Factory LLC, who were also behind the Griz Coat and the Griz Rug. Best of all, they have a record of delivering on all their previous campaigns, which is now in the forefront of consumers' minds due to the spotty track record of many crowdfunding campaigns of the past.
The bad news is that all styles of the gloves are currently sold out via the Kickstarter, which has already hit six times its original $10,000 goal. However, there's a website to sign up for if you want to be informed for the next batch and be the raddest person on the slopes, like, ever.
