Sherri Shepherd is ready to leave her spot on the daytime talk show "The View," sources close to her confirmed to CNN on Thursday.
Jenny McCarthy, Shepherd's co-host on the show, also confirmed via Twitter that she'll be stepping down. "If Sherri goes... I go too. #sisters," she tweeted on Thursday. She followed up with: "My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year."
ABC released the following statement to CNN on Friday, concerning the upcoming changes: "'The View' will be moving in an exciting new direction next season and ABC has made decisions to evolve the show creatively."
Shepherd, who joined the show in 2007, has apparently been ready for months to make her departure, according to the source, but she wanted to wait and not overshadow Barbara Walters, who left last month.
Shepherd and McCarthy seem to be in high spirits following their major announcements:

But we gotta ask: What happens now to Whoopi?? Will she keep her spot? And, if so, who do you think should join her at "The View" table?
