3 inmates escape Canadian jail by helicopter

It's like a plot from a Hollywood blockbuster, but it happened in real life. Three inmates used a helicopter to escape from jail in Canada.

According to authorities, the men -- Yves Denis Yvon Lamontagne, 35, Denis Lefebvre, 53, and Serge Pomerleau, 49 -- escaped Saturday night from a detention center in Quebec City in a green helicopter.

It's not clear how the inmates pulled it off. Lamontagne and Lefebvre were awaiting trial on drug charges, according to CNN partner CBC News.

It is the second time in a little over a year that inmates have used a helicopter to escape in Canada.
