You tell us: Best lessons from your teachers

As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, we want to share with you some of the best advice you, our readers, got from your favorite teachers.

Last year, we shared our own memorable lessons from our teachers with you. This year, it’s your turn. We asked you to remember the best lesson your teachers taught you -- here are some of our favorites:

Bertha D.: I had a teacher in high school who told us if we have one good friend in life, consider yourself lucky. I never forget that.

April H.: My favorite teacher said, “Accept all and they will accept you; except them and they will except you.”

Karen I.: Best advice ever from Mr. Tuck in Avenal, California. He said, “Think for yourself,” a concept that many do not understand these days.

Daniel M.: You could only go as far as you let yourself.

Do you have any other memorable lessons you'd like to share with us? Leave them in the comments below!
