The University of South Florida has requested that this year's class of graduates respectfully refrains from "inappropriate behaviors" -- which include: stepping, marching, strolling and selfies -- during the ceremony next month.
The announcement, which was obtained by HLN, is being sent to the 2014 graduating class and will be printed in the student newspaper (see it for yourself below).

It advises students that "a simple handshake is preferred. Your refusal to abide by this request may result in disciplinary action and/or the withholding of your degree."
Adam Freeman, the media and public affairs coordinator for USF, sent the following statement to CNN:
"Please note, each graduate gets a professional photo taken on stage with our President during the ceremony. We have more than 5,000 degrees to confer on May 2 and 3 and our goal is to keep each of the five ceremonies to approximately 90 minutes."
