Just a week after celebrating a wedding, an Indiana family is returning to the same church -- but this time for two funerals.
Jocelyn and Shaylyn Spurlock, 2-year-old twin sisters, were found dead in a neighbor's pool just four days after their mother got married.
"We had a wedding (April 5) and it's ironic that the same church the (girls' mother) was married in... is where the girls are going to have their funeral one week later," the twins' grandfather, Jim Conley told CNN affiliate WCPO.
The twins were visiting their grandfather's house in Center Township, Indiana, while their parents were running errands. According to WCPO, Shaylyn and Jocelyn managed to sneak out of the house. Dearborn County authorities said the twins were reported missing at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
At around 8:15 p.m., a neighbor found the twins lying unresponsive in an above-ground swimming pool. Both girls were taken to the hospital where they later died.
Conley said the twins slept in the same bed together and never left each other's side. The twins' funeral will be held Saturday.
"They're going to be buried in the one coffin with angels on it because they always liked angels,” Conley told WCPO.
