Peaches Geldof, the daughter of British rock legend Bob Geldof, was found dead at her home Monday in the UK. She was 25.
Though the circumstances surrounding her death aren't clear, her father released a statement on behalf of the family confirming the sad news.
"Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again. How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof."
The younger Geldof made a name for herself as a magazine columnist, TV personality and model. She was married to singer Thomas Cohen. The couple had two young children, Astala and Phaedra.
Geldof's mother, Paula Yates, died of a heroin overdose when Geldof was 11.
