A 23-year-old woman was caught sleeping Wednesday evening in one of the bedrooms of Justin Bieber's Atlanta-area rental home, according to police in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

The woman, who was identified as Qianying Zhao, has been charged with criminal trespass, according to police. The media release, which was sent out Thursday, says a family member found Zhao sleeping in one of the home's bedrooms shortly after 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

Zhao reportedly told officers that she entered the unoccupied home through an unlocked door and that she was there to attend Bieber's birthday. The pop star turned 20 last Saturday and celebrated hundreds of miles away from Georgia, according to reports.

Police said Zhao claimed to be friends with the singer, "however it is believed that she is one of millions who follow Bieber on Twitter."

The Georgia home, which is currently being rented by Bieber, belongs to music producer Dallas Austin, according to police.

Bieber is scheduled to be deposed in Miami, Florida, Thursday, according to HLN affiliate WFOR. The deposition is related to a lawsuit filed against him by a paparazzo, according to WFOR.

The victim in that case, Jeffrey Binion, claims Bieber ordered one of his security guards to rough Binion up while the paparazzo was taking pictures, reports WFOR.

One of the bodyguards named in the case -- Hugo Hesny -- was arrested last week for allegedly stealing the camera of a different photographer who had traveled from Miami to Sandy Springs, Georgia, to cover Bieber. Hesny and another man allegedly involved in the incident were initially charged with felony theft of the camera, estimated to be worth $10,000. The charges were dropped, according to police.
