4 arrested in raid connected to Hoffman death

  • Cops say they also seized several hundred heroin packets
  • Broadway lights to dim in actor's honor tonight
A photograph and a beer bottle are seen at a makeshift memorial for actor Philip Seymour Hoffman at the entrance to the apartment building where he died February 4, 2014 in the Greenwich Village area of New York.

A law enforcement source says police have arrested four people who could be connected to the drugs found in Philip Seymour Hoffman’s apartment.

Police say they also seized 350 packets of what’s believed to be heroin during a raid on a lower Manhattan apartment building.

Last night, Hoffman’s death cast a shadow over the premiere of the new movie "The Monuments Men," where former co-stars like Matt Damon and George Clooney remembered their colleague.

Hoffman's family and friends will have a private funeral soon, but there are also plans for a memorial service later this month.

Tonight, the lights of Broadway will dim in his honor.
