FB: 'Banned' weight loss pic violated policy

A woman in Seattle, Washington, says Facebook took down a picture of her showing off how much weight she had lost. Marilyn McKenna says the social networking site told her the reason for the removal was because it promoted an "idealized body image." Her story appeared, ironically enough, on Facebook and local media and was shared across social media.

However, Facebook says that there is more to the story.

Facebook said that the picture did not meet all of their advertising guidelines.

McKenna lost 120 pounds over six years, and now spends her time talking and writing about weight loss and healthy eating.
