Pope Francis may be having the best year ever. His newest accolade? Esquire Magazine's “Best Dressed Man of 2013.”
Although the men's magazine acknowledged the choice as “unconventional,” the editors said it was an easy choice upon closer examination. The Pope's modest attire, new take on Catholicism and approachable attitude helped him score the win.
The pontiff beat out Hollywood heartthrobs like Bradley Cooper, Chris Pine and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
In April, Pope Francis was elected the first pope from South America. Six months later, the Argentine-born pontiff was named the “Internet's Top Name” by the Global Language Monitor.
As if that weren't enough, he also garnered over 3 million followers on Twitter, dubbed Time Magazine's Person of the Year and has a sky-high approval rating (88%), according to a new CNN/ORC International poll.
